Speaker: Paediatric Blast Injuries

I am a Paediatric Emergency Medicine Consultant at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. Prior to this I was a British Army medical officer for 18 years and Defence lead for deployed paediatric care. I am part of the Paediatric Blast Injury Partnership, a coalition between Save the Children UK, Imperial College London, WISH Qatar, and a number of UK and international subject matter experts. The partnership aims to advocate for children in conflict areas, educate and train clinicians and research conflict injury in children.  In 2019 we released the Paediatric Blast Injury Field Manual to guide clinicians dealing with paediatric major trauma which is now available in 7 languages. We are now establishing the Paediatric Truama Resuscitation Course a free to access package for trauma teams to attend and learn together.  We are always keen to hear from organisations and individuals willing to support the partnership aims.
