Welcome to the Emergency Department! You’re joining a busy and varied environment where high standards of care are paramount. Over the next four to six weeks, you’ll take part in a structured induction designed to support your transition into this fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Your induction will include a mixture of classroom-based education and supernumerary clinical shifts, giving you the opportunity to develop key skills in both theory and practice, covering the fundamentals of patient care, alongside clinical skills such as ECG recording, venepuncture, cannulation, and basic wound care.

Our aim is to build your confidence and competence while working alongside experienced team members who are here to guide and support you every step of the way.
