DREEAM welcomes work experience students to the Year 12 Insight Day.

The event was organized in collaboration with Djanogly School, and it was aimed at providing students with an opportunity to gain a deeper insight into the world of healthcare and medicine.

The day started off with a hospital tour, where the students got a chance to see the various departments of the hospital and meet with some of the staff members. This was an excellent opportunity for them to get a feel for what it's like to work in a hospital environment and understand the various roles and responsibilities of healthcare professionals.

Following the tour, the students attended a session on observation, which was conducted by our experienced healthcare professionals. There was a session focused on teaching the students how to observe and document vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiratory rate. This was an important aspect of the training as it is a fundamental skill required for medical practitioners. This was done to allow the student get a knowledge of normal physical state.

After the observation session, the students had a chance to experience immersive learning with our digital education fellow using the Hololen 2 and software called  Holopatient and Holoanatomy. They were able to use the latest technology to simulate medical procedures and interact with holographic representations of anatomical structures. This was an excellent opportunity for the students to experience cutting-edge technology that is currently being used in medical training and practice.

Overall, the Year 12 Insight Day was a great success, and we hope that it provided the students with valuable insights into the world of healthcare and medicine. We would like to thank Djanogly School for collaborating with us on this initiative, and we look forward to future opportunities to work together to inspire and educate the next generation of healthcare professionals.
