PIC is an observational study of children aged 0-18 who present to the children’s emergency department with a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius and above, with a non-blanching rash. The study aims to design a new clinical tool for suspected meningococcal sepsis/meningitis. This will standardise the pathway across all hospitals for this group of patients.
