This four-hour clinical skills workshop teaches both male and female catheterisation in one session, for NUH staff.  This workshop is aimed at NUH registered health professionals.  The workshop will include learning on:

  • Anatomy & physiology
  • Indications & contraindications
  • Privacy & dignity
  • Consent
  • Infection control
  • Equipment requirements
  • Complications
  • Escalation
  • Documentation

A full demonstration will be provided showing both procedures before giving participants time to practice their new skills on our simulation mannequins under the supervision and guidance of our skilled, senior interprofessional educator.

This course is designed for registered nurses and allied health professionals within NUH.
