Course Overview
The exciting emergency practical skills course, designed in accordance with the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) Curriculum Requirements 2021, is specifically tailored to equip East Midlands Acute Care Trainees with essential practical skills for working effectively in the emergency room.
This comprehensive course focuses on hands-on training in various emergency scenarios, enabling participants to develop competence and confidence in managing critical situations. There are six simulation sessions within this course:
- Obstetrics & Gynaecology – precipitous delivery
- Chest trauma – chest drains
- Cardiology – DCCV & Pacing
- Respiratory – Non-invasive ventilation
- Head trauma – surgical airway
- Eye trauma – lateral canthotomy
