The Paediatric minor injury course is a new course aimed to deliver an intensive, interactive and enjoyable programme that provides students with specialised training and knowledge to effectively assess, manage and treat the child and young person presenting with a minor injury.
The overall goal of the paediatric minor injury course is to equip the healthcare professional with the necessary skill and confidence to provide safe and effective child friendly care for children and young adults who present with minor injuries.
Candidates will come equipped with relevant anatomy and physiology from their online pre-course reading.
The aim of the paediatric minor injury course is to be as interactive as possible and candidates will take an active part in simulations and practical sessions throughout the 3 days. You will feel safe and supported in the learning environment created.
By the end of the course candidate will complete a formative VIVA assessment to check their knowledge and identify gaps for further learning.
